A message from the Chair
The Northern Territory Board of Studies’ objective is to promote excellence in school learning.
Our mission is to develop and provide high quality curriculum, assessment, reporting and certification to students in the Northern Territory from Preschool to Year 12.
Student achievement in the senior secondary years is recognised through a comprehensive framework of certification that aims to ensure that every young person leaves school with appropriate documentation.
The Board’s focus includes Vocational Education in Schools (VET) Year 11 and 12 outcomes, and the Northern Territory Curriculum and Assessment framework, as well as middle years, early childhood, Indigenous education, and awards and scholarships.
The Board will continue to draw on its substantial research base and scan for best practice both nationally and internationally.
