Exhibition: open to the public from 19 March - 11 July 2009

ExitArt is the annual NT senior secondary exhibition. ExitArt has been exhibited in several venues during the past 30 years however it has become a feature of the Museum and Art Gallery of the NTs annual exhibitions program.

Approximately 40 artworks are selected by moderators and markers for the exhibition. Examples from all the visual arts subjects are represented - art, craft and design.

For teachers

This educational resource pack is designed for use in conjunction with a class visit to the Exit Art exhibition at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. The resource pack includes:

• Three activity sheets - two featuring an artwork from the exhibition and a pre-visit discussion activity
• Additional background and resource material for the teacher

Some of the oral activities included in the activity sheets may be employed during a visit to the exhibition however each activity sheet has been designed as the basis for an integrated unit of work. Resources and ideas for visual arts program development are included in the resource materials for teachers.

Developmental work

Examples of developmental work for a major artwork. A selection of 18-20 pages has been made from each of the three students diaries.
