Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards and AITSL National Awards
The Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards recognise government school teachers, teacher leaders, support staff and principals that have made a significant contribution to quality student learning in the Territory. Winners of the awards receive recognition for their contribution to delivering high quality teaching and education services.
In 2012 the NT DET Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards will be held as a precursor to the AITSL Australian Awards for Outstanding Teaching and School Leadership. The format means that (only) the NT Award winners will go on to represent the Territory at a National level. Nominations open for the NT DET Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards on Monday 2 April 2012 and close Friday 4 May 2012. Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) will only accept nominations for the National Awards for DET employees through this DET managed process.
For further information about the AITSL Australian Awards for Outstanding Teaching and School Leadership, go to the AITSL website.
Nominations for the 2012 Teaching in the Territory Excellence Awards have now closed. Regional and Territory finalists and winners will be announced at Word Teachers’ Day celebrations across the Territory, Friday 26 October.
