Adult Learners' Week grants
Adult Learners' Week (ALW) is an opportunity to celebrate, promote and advance all forms of adult learning. Organisations can apply for a funding grant of up to $5000 to develop a new or expand an existing adult learning activity.

Artists in Schools
The aim of the Artists in Schools program is to provide students, teachers, parents and the wider community with first-hand opportunities to work with professional artists over a period of time, and experience the creative processes, skills, attitudes and disciplines the artist brings to their work.

Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) Tipping Points Conference Grants
A second round of grants is available for teachers to attend the ACEL Tipping Points Conference at the Darwin Convention Centre on 26-28 September 2009. Teachers within the Department of Education and Training, independent schools and catholic schools in the Northern Territory are encouraged to apply.

Australian Government Sporting Chance Program
This funding is for Sporting Chance Program academies that focus on projects for Indigenous girls and young women. This Australian Government initiative supports programs that use sport as a vehicle to increase the engagement and participation of Indigenous students.

Back to School Payment Scheme
This payment helps families offset the cost of textbooks, stationery, school uniforms, and other essential school items.

Becoming Asia Literate: Grants to Schools
These grants help schools undertake innovative school-based initiatives that support the teaching and learning of Asian languages and/or studies of Asia related to one or more of the target countries - China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea.

Dollar for Dollar Subsidy Scheme for non-government schools
The Dollar for Dollar Subsidy Scheme rewards schools for fund raising efforts of parent bodies. Subsidies apply to fund-raising activities for approved educational activities on a dollar for dollar basis.

Engage with Asia Week grants
These grants support schools in the incorporation of the studies of Asia into a unit of work. Funds may be used for resource attainment, resource development, establishment of links to Asian communities or the subsidising of cultural events and excursions related to a unit of work.

Enterprise grants
Enterprise Grants support school projects that develop and implement enterprise activities which enhance VET, enterprise and vocational learning.

EnviornmeNT grants
These grants are available to schools throughout the Territory for environmental activities and projects developed by schools. The major objective is to support action based educational projects promoting ecological sustainability and build awareness of the impacts of our personal behaviour and lifestyle choices on the environment. Educational outcomes will be considered during the assessment process.

GrantsLink
An Australian Government website with funding opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities to help develop solutions to local and national problems, fund ideas and initiatives or provide assistance in times of hardship.

Indigenous Students' Leadership and Mentorship Program
The objective is to expand the educational experiences and leadership opportunities of Indigenous secondary students in the Northern Territory.

NT Distance Learning Service Innovation Grants
Assist practising teachers in developing innovative online materials and approaches to improve learning outcomes for students.

Remote Schools Pathway Grant
Funding is available to help remote schools develop work experience and enterprise programs for students with a disability.

Student Assistance Schemes
The schemes help meet education expenses of students who are disadvantaged by distance or isolation.

Scholarships

Higher education scholarships for school leavers
Forty scholarships worth $3500 are available to school leavers to undertake full-time degree studies.

More Indigenous Teachers
There are three financial study support programs (commonly referred to as More Indigenous Teachers) in the department to increase the number of Indigenous teachers: cadetships, scholarships and fellowships.

Teacher Education Scholarships
These scholarships is a key initiative designed to recruit quality teachers. It is an opportunity to gain significant financial support to help gain your teaching qualification.

Vocational Education and Training scholarships
Twenty scholarships worth $4000 are available to Territorians studying Certificate III to Diploma level courses.

Employer incentives - Australian Government
Australian Apprenticeships attract financial assistance for eligible employers to help reduce the real cost of training.

Employer incentives and assistance (Northern Territory Government)
Financial incentives are available for private sector businesses who want to employ additional apprentices and trainees in areas with identified occupational shortages, and from disadvantaged groups.

Flexible Response Funding
Flexible Response Funding specifically targets Indigenous people, for delivery of accredited and non-accredited training that links to work ready or employment on site in Indigenous communities. Indigenous communities can access funding at any time throughout the year.

General Recurrent Program
General Recurrent Program funds the Northern Territory public providers of Vocational Education and Training, which are the Charles Darwin University and Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education.

International Women’s Day Vocational Education and Training Study Grants
Do you know a Territory woman who is studying a VET course that will assist them in returning to work after a period of absence? She may be eligible for a $1000 study grant.

Pre-employment Training Program
The Pre-employment Training Program provides specific training for unskilled or semi skilled people to gain essential industry skills, which may lead to increased opportunities to successfully complete an apprenticeship or gain skilled employment.

Productivity Places Program
The Productivity Places Program assists job seekers to acquire skills and gain lasting employment and assist existing workers to update or upgrade their skills.

Training for Remote Youth
Training for Remote Youth brings youth and the local community together to provide structured training and learning experiences that will prepare them for employment in the community or re-engage in further learning.

User Choice Program
The User Choice Program funds the delivery of structured training and assessment for full-time, part-time and school-based apprentices and trainees in the Northern Territory.

VET in Schools Program
The VET in Schools Program supports VET programs in secondary schools.

Workwear / Workgear Bonus Scheme
The Workwear/Workgear bonus is a one-off grant that apprentices or trainees are eligible for after three months of employment if they began their training contract on or after 4 April 2005.
